Players are Playing Badminton 

The origin of this game we found about at least 2000 years ago. This game was known as battledore and shuttlecock. The starter countries of these games were ancient Greece, China, and India. In the 18^th century, this game was played in India. In India name of this game was Poona. In 1860 British army officers adopted this game who was appointed in India. They took this game to England. In 1873 they named this game Badminton. This game is played individually, or this game is played with racquet and shuttlecock. Both sides of players hit the shuttlecock with the racquet to get the point. 

International badminton federation is the governing body of badminton. It was formed in 1934. I start it has nine members: Canada, France, Netherlands, England, New Zealand, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland, and Denmark. After four years the United States of America become the member of the federation. The membership steadily increased from time to time with new members after the Olympic Games which held in Barcelona. It was the debut of badminton game in Barcelona Olympics. Badminton has different international events like;

            2.      National League

            3.      World Junior

           4.      Para-Badminton World

           5.      Thomas Cup

          6.      Uber Cup

          7.      Sudirman Cup

Badminton equipment

Badminton is one the fastest sports in the world. It requires lots of speed, energy, and skill to play this game. It is also team sport or individual sport. Badminton is played with proper equipment’s without adequate stuff we can’t play or enjoy badminton. In badminton equipment racquet or shuttlecock is necessary. Badminton rackets are made with different materials. In the making of the good racket, the combination of racket weight, balance points, and string tensions will help to make the perfect racket. Second equipment is shuttlecock. There are two types of shuttlecock are used to play this game. One is plastic shuttlecock and other is feather shuttlecock. Plastic shuttles are used commonly for playing, but it is more durable shuttlecock. In international events feather, shuttlecock is used which flies smooth and faster. The last badminton equipment is shoes. There are especially available in the market to play badminton.

Badminton Court

The badminton is played in the specific area with measurements is known as the badminton court. Badminton is played on the hard and straight floor. The court is divided into two halfs with a net. The standard court contains lines for both same. In double gameplay is designated by outside lines and in a single play is designates inside lines. The length of the court is same of both in single play or double play. Court lines have their own meanings according to the situation. The baseline is the parallel line which covers both sides of the court. Centerline is to separate the court for playing in doubles and for singles to move with footwork properly. Then line come is service line this line is used to for service that runs parallel to the net.
